Since Web 2.0 and Social Media web sites became mainstream, customer service and customer relationship management became much more important. Take the case of Nova Scotia musician, Dave Carrol, who flew United Airlines with his band, his guitar ended up broken at the hand of employees, and the airline offered no compensation. Dave responded by creating a music video about the experience.

With over 3 million views and 14,000 comments in just 10 days, UNITED has a real nightmare on their hands and is feeling the wrath of citizen journalism and the social web. The story has been featured on CNN, FOX NEWS, MSNBC and more…
